Dr. Jill Oliveira graduated from the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine in 1995 and completed a small animal medicine and surgery internship at The Animal Medical Center in New York City in 1996. After practicing in Wisconsin for several years, she relocated in California and was Medical Director at VCA Benicia from 2003 until June of 2016. She met the love of her life and best friend, Kevin, in 2009 and they married on the beach in Monterey in 2011. She has two grown daughters, Jamie and Lisa, and two happy Golden Retreivers, Kiko and Kelly. In her spare time, she and Kevin love to combine golfing and traveling in the USA. She also enjoys cooking, especially baking, reading and gardening.

Dr. Jim Beebee was born in Ames, Iowa, and grew up in Elk Point, South Dakota. He completed his undergraduate studies at Weber State College in Ogden, Utah, and Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. He graduated from Colorado State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1978 and pursued a career in small animal veterinary medicine.
After graduation, Dr. Beebee practiced in Napa, California, before moving to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, where he and a classmate built a small animal practice. He and his family spent 6 wonderful years there before they decided to move back to the Bay Area when the economy took a down turn. Jim started working for Diablo View Veterinary Hospital in 1988, he became sole owner in 1999, and moved the practice to its current location. Dr. Beebee thrives on the diversity offered in veterinary medicine and has pursued special interests in surgery, dentistry, dermatology, cardiology, behavior, and complementary and alternative therapies.
Jim and his wife, Carol, have been married since 1974 and have 3 grown sons: Zach, Nich, Tim and three grandchildren, Naomi, Tosh and Rohan.

Dr. Steve Jakobsen, DC (also referred to as “Dr. J”) was born in Seattle, Washington. He grew up in the Sierra Nevada foothills of California, where he developed a love for animals and the great outdoors. In 1988, Dr. Jakobsen graduated from Life West Chiropractic College located in Hayward, Ca. In February 1989, Dr. Jakobsen started working at Lafayette Chiropractic Group in Lafayette, CA, where he met his wife and fellow Chiropractor, Robin Alexander. Since 1997, Dr. Jakobsen has been a co-owner of Lafayette Chiropractic Group with Robin. While attending several professional group meetings in 1995, Dr. Jakobsen met Dr. Beebee. A year later, Dr. Beebee invited Dr. Jakobsen to perform Chiropractic care on “Shaba”, a 150 pound Malamute, who had a questionable disposition. After several adjustments, Shaba had a much better back as well as a better attitude. Dr. Jakobsen was hooked on providing Chiropractic care to animals. Along with a passion for providing Chiropractic care to both two legged and four legged beings, Dr. Jakobsen enjoys all forms of activities including biking, hiking, kayaking and swimming. Dr. Jakobsen has been implementing Chiropractics at Diablo View Veterinary Hospital since 1996. He has demonstrated an excellence that has resulted in a predictably positive outcome! Our canine Chiro patients love to come in for an adjustment and a “cookie”!

Jill was born in Bedford, England. She grew up in Martinez and ended up in the veterinary field quite by accident. A friend told her about a part-time receptionist in a veterinary hospital and many, many years later she is still enjoying the field. She truly believes that people with pets are compassionate and caring people and she enjoys working with them. Jill has two Australian shepherds, Rogan and Twist. She and Don enjoy horse shows (cutting), hiking, and camping with their dogs and horses.

Beth was an Indiana girl until she drove out to California on a lark and met her future husband. They raised their two beautiful daughters in Alameda, and it was there that Beth found her niche in the veterinary field. Her 29 years working first as a veterinary assistant and then as a receptionist have provided her a perfect blend of meeting the needs of people as well as their companion animals. She is an integral part of the Diablo View Veterinary Hospital team.
In her spare time Beth loes to visit her three precious grandchildren. In the evenings she enjoys reading and knitting.

Cheryl is originally from Martinez, and spent many of her formative years in Alabama, where she grew to love the deep south. After returning to the Bay Area she attended culinary school at Diablo Valley Community College. She met her husband while working at Bridges restaurant in Danville. While her children were growing up she worked in the school system. Now that they are grown she can work in the field that is close to her heart. Cheryl currently has 3 dogs and 3 cats and is excited to be surrounded by pets and their people every day. When not discussing pet issues she loves movies, music and good food.

Linda has been working at Diablo View since 1991. She enjoys her role as leader and mentor to other staff members and Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) students from Carrington College. She strives to uphold the compassionate care and progressive medicine of Diablo View. Linda has been named Contra Costa RVT of the year in the past. Recently, she has worked with the California Veterinary Medical Board in revising the state RVT exam. Linda has been married to Joe since 1980. They have one daughter, Leah, who is a make-up artist in Southern California. Linda enjoys her garden, genealogy and springtime wildflower hikes! “Buddy” a ginger cat, joined their family in 2015.

Amy joined the Diablo View family this April, 2016. She has been working in the veterinary field since 2006 and is currently enrolled in the Penn Foster veterinary technician program. She grew up in Ukiah, where her parents still live. Amy is surrounded by her pets, she has 6 cats: Niles, Delilah, Rozz, BOO!, Alan and Mulder. Charlie is her pit bull mix whom she loves to take for walks and swimming. Her other past times include cross-stitch, rollerblading, reading and watching scary movies.

Robin joined Diablo View in June 2018 as a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT). She grew up in Berkeley and now resides in Pleasant Hill with her dog Kiara. Robin graduated from SRJC with an AA in Early Childhood Education and worked as a preschool teacher for 10 years. In 2016 she graduated from Carrington College in Pleasant hill with an AS in Veterinary Technology, then took and passed both her national and state boards in 2017. In her spare time she enjoys taking her labradoodle for walks, training and playtime. She also likes to spend time with her family.

Carlee joined the Diablo View family in 2018. She is currently enrolled at Carrington College studying to become a Veterinary Technician. She has been surrounded by pets her entire life and at this time has 2 Chihuahuas, Rebel and Peanut, 2 cats, Daisy and Klause and 2 chickens Dixie and Kitty. Carlee played Lacrosse in high school and was a leading scorer. She loves the outdoors especially camping and boating.
